ABOUT THE GRACE GIRLS
OUR MINISTRY
The Grace Girls community began as an informal name for the Women’s Group of the First Baptist Church of Glenarden in Upper Marlboro, MD. In just a short time, our ministry has expanded to include women from all walks of life and church affiliations – and even some ladies who have yet to find a church home. Our doors – whether to our church’s buildings or to our online community – are always open to all women who desire to deepen their relationship with the Lord. As the Women’s Group of FBCG, we have 12 diverse women’s ministries designed to meet you where you are in life, and help you walk toward the destiny God has for you.

OUR CHURCH
Most women who have been introduced to the Grace Girls community are aware of our inspiring events, encouraging social media platforms and fabulous Grace Girl gear – but there’s so much more to who we are! At the heart of our church and leadership of our pastor, we strive to develop dynamic disciples through discipline, discipleship and duplication. If you are in need of a church home or want to learn more about the First Baptist Church of Glenarden, please visit our church website!

Our Mission is to developing dynamic women through discipleship, discipline, and duplication.
Our Vision is to provide a safe space for women to grow in intimacy with Christ, develop into the woman God has called them to be, and connect with like-minded women to do life together.

"You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden… let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven." – Matthew 5:14-16
OUR FIRST LADY
First Lady Trina’s story is one that could have been lifted from a Christian fairy tale. She accepted Christ as her personal Savior in 1976 at Good Hope United Methodist Church in Silver Spring, Md., during a service in which her future husband (Pastor John K. Jenkins, Sr.) was the youth preacher.

A distinguished woman in her own right, First Lady Trina earned her bachelor of arts in sociology from the University of Maryland in 1982. She went on to receive an honorary doctorate of divinity from Truth Bible College in Jacksonville, Fla., in 2004.

Her knack for the spiritual development of women and families is evident in First Lady’s ministry, as well as her professional life. After completing the instructor training program offered by the Natural Family Planning Providers Association of Maryland and the District of Columbia, she worked for Providence Hospital in Washington, D.C., as a certified natural family planning instructor.

First Lady Trina relishes her other role as the Chief Ministry Officer at First Baptist Church of Glenarden. With the goal of “developing dynamic families,” she oversees the church’s 100+ ministries. She also preaches and teaches at various venues such as churches, retreats, and conferences in the United States, as well as Africa.

The Lord continues to use this well-respected, godly woman to train other Christian women to reach their full spiritual potential through widely attended First Baptist retreats and conferences that draw women from near and far through the FBCG Grace Girls.

WHAT IS A GRACE GIRL?
Grace Girl is more than a name—it’s a community of women who are committed to growing in Christ and becoming all that God has called them to be. A Grace Girl is intentional about her faith, grounded in her identity in Christ, and passionate about walking alongside other women in their journey. Together, we pursue spiritual growth, authentic connection, and lives that reflect God’s love
and purpose.
A Grace Girl is:
1. A woman who pursues a deep and personal relationship with Christ through intentional discipleship and spiritual discipline.

2. A woman who understands her identity in Christ and lives with purpose, allowing His light to shine through every area of her life.
3. A woman who glorifies God by growing, serving, and helping other women draw
closer to Him.

Wanna become a Grace Girl? The first thing is to accept Jesus in your heart. Follow the steps below.

A
Admit that you have missed the mark.
The Bible tells us that no one is righteous, not even one. If you have missed the mark, accept that you have fallen short and know that God has provided a way for you to be made whole.
B
Believe in
your heart.
Jesus died for our sins and was raised from the dead. Believe in your heart that He is who He says He is. Believe in your heart that Jesus died for your sins, and was raised from the dead so that you may have everlasting life with Him.

C
Confess your belief
to others.
Publicly confess Jesus as Lord by proclaiming your faith and relationship to others.

If you just took those steps for the first time, we’re so proud of you! Email us at
commit@fbcglenarden.org to share your decision!
A Grace Girl is a woman who understands that she is God's light because she has a personal relationship with Him. She talks with God regularly and knows that she has access to Him because she believes that Jesus died on the cross. A Grace Girl lives her life in a way that can light up the world. More importantly, she lives her life in a way that brings glory to God and leads others closer to Him!
